Q: What makes contactless payments more secure?
A: All digital wallet transactions use data encryption and tokenization. The encryption converts information and data before sending it through shared communication channels, and the recipient must have the decryption code to use the data upon receipt. Tokenization replaces your account number with a newly assigned virtual account number, which is useless to anyone who receives it. Only the creator of the tokenization system can track the virtual number back to its original account number.
