Senior Commercial Loan Officer

Essential Functions

  • Loan Origination & Portfolio Management:
    Originate and manage a variety of loans, including business loans and consumer loans, ensuring all applications are processed promptly and accurately.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients by providing personalized, knowledgeable service and effective solutions for their financial needs.
  • Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment:
    Evaluate applicants’ creditworthiness and financial status, conduct thorough due diligence, and ensure compliance with lending regulations and bank policies.
  • Collaboration with Team:
    Work closely with loan processors, underwriters, and other team members to ensure a smooth loan approval and closing process.
  • Mentorship & Training:
    Provide guidance and mentorship to junior loan officers, assisting them with complex loan scenarios and ensuring adherence to lending standards and best practices.
  • Business Development:
    Proactively identify new business opportunities, network with potential clients, and represent the bank in the community to promote loan products and services.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    Ensure all loan transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all loans originated.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Essential functions as noted
  • Strong knowledge of lending regulations, financial analysis, credit underwriting, and loan documentation.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
 

Training and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of lending experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field, or equivalent experience in a lending training program.
