Steve Thompson was recently recognized in the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s 50-Year Club! Steve began his career with Quail Creek Bank in 1976 and served most of his banking career as executive vice president and CFO/COO. He retired in 2016 but continues to serve on the board of directors and various other committees.
Steve’s favorite part of working in the banking industry has been working with the employees, directors and customers. He loved having the opportunity to mentor employees to become great bankers. His advice to young professionals entering the banking industry is to have the character and integrity to always do the right thing with both employees and customers. Being successful is great, but the person you become through success is more important.
