Phyllis F. started her banking career in 1970 at Security National Bank in Sikeston, Missouri.
After moving to Oklahoma City, she joined Quail Creek Bank in 1980. Phyllis attributes her long career in banking to the people and culture – the workplace wouldn’t be the same without management that always has an open door, or the excellent employees with whom she has had the pleasure to work.
Her advice to young professionals starting out in the banking industry would be to take charge of your career, find new ways to improve the bank, or meet goals. The words, “it’s not my job,” are poisonous to any workplace. Treat everyone with respect, be accountable, and always do what is right.
